The Black Sun2022
16mm black & white film, 2 channel, sound, 11 min
DOP: Ruben Impens / Grimm Vandekerckhove
Sound: Kwinten Van Laethem
In the first projection we see one by one birds coming together on a double bed. Eventually they all fly up at the same time and we get random violence of nature in a domestic setting.
On the other projection we see a fascinating choreography of drones above the same bed. Both projections reflect and question each other on different levels.

Double Bind 2020
35mm color film, single screen, sound, 11’04"
DOP: Grimm Vandekerckhove
Sound: Kwinten Van Laethem
In this experimental short film we see three workmen constructing a scaffolding. Gradually we see the workers becoming a necessary part of this construction.
The performance appears useless and futile - physical boundaries are questioned, in which an unpleasant beauty hides

Stasis, 2013
HD film, single screen, 12’, continuous projection, no sound.
In this film an unidentified number of men engage in a strange interaction with a table.
Although these men cannot eat or talk it is obvious a certain dialogue takes place. The presence of each individual is absolutely required to keep the construction/conversation solid and on going.

The Trophy, 2010
16 mm film transferred to HD digital format, 2-channel film installation, 12’, continuous projection, no sound
The film installation consists of two parts: FRONT version and BACK version. In the FRONT version we see a deer’s head, which is alive instead of stuffed, hanging on the wall. The deer stares ahead motionless, making it difficult to distinguish whether it is alive or stuffed. In the BACK version we can see the other side of the wall. There the same deer stands alone in a bare room with its head disappearing into the wall. This silent film installation is a continuous projection with no end or beginning.
